Knollwood Resident Featured in the Telegram & Gazette During National Nurses Week

In honor of National Nurses Week, we’re proud to share a recent Telegram & Gazette feature article highlighting Knollwood Nursing Center resident June LaJeunesse and her extraordinary career in nursing.

The article shares the story of a life-changing moment from 1972, when June helped save the life of a premature newborn, and the lasting bond that grew between June and the family in the decades that followed. That connection recently brought June, Cheryl Flynn, and Carol Flynn together at Knollwood, where they reflected on the remarkable story that has linked their lives for more than 50 years.

June’s story is a powerful reminder of the compassion, skill, and lifelong impact of nurses. We are honored to have her as part of the Knollwood community and grateful for the dedication nurses bring to patients, families, and communities every day.
