Nursing Center Closure Due to Coronavirus

The following letter from Knollwood’s Administrator Patricia Martel was sent out on March 11, 2020:

Due to the Governor’s State of Emergency and with guidance from the Department of Public Health, the management team at Knollwood Nursing Center is making every effort to keep your family members safe from being exposed to the COVID-19 virus.

Throughout the month of March visitors are not allowed to visit their loved ones. We will revisit this decision at the end of March as to whether we need to continue with this restriction. Emergency visits from family members are permitted at the discretion of the nursing center. If permission is granted, we are asking that you please wear a mask during your visit.

We understand that this is difficult but we can provide you with phone calls and video chats from your loved one if needed. Times can be scheduled through the activity department at ext. 9036.

Please understand that we are doing what is best to keep your loved ones safe. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Deb Audet, Director of Nursing at 508-852-9023 or me, Patricia Martel, at 508-852-9022.

Thank you.

Patricia Martel
