Knollwood Nursing Center Testimonials
My mother’s story illustrates the exceptional care given at Knollwood Nursing Center. She was admitted in early November after a few months of hospital stays and surgery following complications from a fall in August that resulted in two fractures in her pelvis.
Before coming to Knollwood, there was little hope given by doctors that she would walk or be able to control her bowels, and there were days when we wondered whether she would make it.
Her phenomenal progress at Knollwood within two months was a direct result of the care she received from everyone: Dr. Swayze to Case Manager Karen Paquette to Physical Therapist Heather. Administrator Pat Foley Martel is excellent and many other staff members are as well. The way the staff interacts with patients is the way they would want their own family member to be treated. Someone always took the time to attend to her and to speak with the family.
In February, my mother was ready to walk with a cane. My mother became known as “The Christmas Miracle”, and we are so grateful to Knollwood Nursing Center.

My stay at KNC was a pleasant experience. Kerry, RN was MUCH beyond her skills and was extremely caring and helpful. My roommate was very nice and friendly and made my stay a fine experience. PT's were the very best!

The kitchen went out of their way to give me something other than what was on the menu whenever we asked for it.

The doctor was very available and the nurses as well. Our family was very impressed with the care - very attentive, friendly, competent and flexible with visiting hours. We very much enjoyed being able to enjoy a family dinner in the conference room. We would highly recommend KNC.
I was very pleased with the nursing staff and their willingness to explain necessary actions and services. I was also very pleased with the therapists and exercises recommended and the relatively rapid recovery achieved.

All Nursing Staff and Certified Nursing Assistants were wonderful - especially Bernard, Charles, Mrs. Baker, Earl - night certified nursing assistants - Trish, Sandy & Anna – were great, very kind and attentive. Roseanna, Henriette - day certified nursing assistants were wonderful - always checking in. PT was excellent - very patient but also pushed me to work to my potential, which has helped me so much. I even enjoyed working at physical therapy. Shaun, Heather, Wendy and Joanne made it very enjoyable. They treated me and my family with a great deal of respect. They are true professionals. I will miss working with them. Thanks also to Alice (PA) and Dr. Swayze.
